10 Best Field Service Management Software of 2026
By the KeenVerdict research desk · Updated November 5, 2026 · Next review December 20, 2026 · 10 products scored
Our verdict
Jobber ranks first because its $29 Core plan already runs the whole job from online booking to a paid invoice, and its higher plans add the automation growing crews need. Housecall Pro is a close second with more included on its entry plan, such as consumer financing and review management, and a 5-user Essentials plan that suits small trade shops. ServiceM8 is the best value for small crews, with a free plan and unlimited users from $29. Workiz stands out for call-driven trades with its built-in phone system and AI answering. GorillaDesk is the specialist for pest, lawn and pool routes. ServiceTitan has the deepest features of all but suits large, established contractors better than small teams.
The short answer
Jobber is the best field service management software for home service businesses in 2026, with booking, quotes, invoices and online payments from $29 per month on annual billing. Housecall Pro suits small HVAC and plumbing teams that want dispatch, GPS tracking and consumer financing, from $59 per month or $149 for 5 users. ServiceM8 is the cheapest way in: free for 1 user and 30 jobs a month, then $29 per month with unlimited users.
This list is for home service and maintenance businesses that send technicians to customers, quote jobs and collect payment in the field: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, lawn care, pest control and handyman work. We compared documented features and published prices for ten tools. The pricing unit varies a lot. Jobber and Housecall Pro price by plan with a set number of users, Tradify charges per user, ServiceM8 by jobs per month, GorillaDesk per route, and Service Fusion includes unlimited users. ServiceTitan, FieldEdge and Workiz did not show USD prices to us, so their prices are marked pending.

Core from $29 per month for 1 user, billed annually ($49 month to month); Connect $99 and Grow $149 per month on annual billing
Quoted from the Jobber pricing page on November 5, 2026:
Core 1 user For the pro who wants to build and grow their business on one easy-to-use platform. $49/mo $ 29 /mo Billed annually
Jobber is built for the home service owner who quotes in the morning, works on site all day and invoices from a phone at night. The entry Core plan costs $29 a month for one user on annual billing and covers online booking, scheduling, professional quotes, invoices with online payments, a simple website and built-in reporting. Connect, at $99 a month on annual billing, adds the automation most growing crews want: client reminders, automatic quote and invoice follow-ups, automatic payment collection, checklists, time and expense tracking and QuickBooks Online sync. Grow, at $149, adds richer quotes with optional line items, job costing, two-way SMS and custom workflow automations. Every plan price shown starts at one user, so teams should price extra seats before deciding. Jobber also sells a marketing plan, an AI receptionist and a sales pipeline as add-ons. We compared documented features and published prices; Jobber scores well because the core flow from request to paid invoice is available at the lowest entry price in this group.

Basic from $59 per month for 1 user, billed annually ($79 month to month); Essentials $149 with 5 users; Max $299 with 8 users
Quoted from the Housecall Pro pricing page on November 5, 2026:
Basic 1 For getting started with tools to run your business right. Save $20/mo $59 /mo (Billed annually)
Housecall Pro packs a lot into its entry plan. Basic costs $59 a month on annual billing for one user and already includes online booking, scheduling and dispatch, estimates and invoicing, payments with consumer financing, a price book, job costing and review management. Essentials, at $149 a month with five users included, is where most small HVAC or plumbing shops will land: it adds route grouping, flat-rate pricing, checklist automations, photo reports, employee GPS tracking from technicians' phones, commissions and QuickBooks Online sync. Max, at $299 with eight users, adds a sales proposal tool, recurring service plans, one-click route optimization, open API access and a dedicated onboarding specialist, with extra users at $35 a month each. Every plan includes live phone and chat support and offline viewing in the mobile app. The trade-off against Jobber is price at the bottom end and the fact that maintenance agreements, a core revenue line for HVAC firms, sit on the top tier.
What works
- +Consumer financing and review management included from the Basic plan
- +Essentials bundles 5 users, which is cheaper per seat for small teams
- +Live phone and chat support and an English and Spanish app on every plan
What does not
- −Basic includes only 1 user
- −Recurring service plans and route optimization need the $299 Max plan
- −Max adds $35 per month for each extra user beyond 8

Free plan for 1 user and 30 jobs per month; Starter $29 per month with unlimited users and 50 jobs
Quoted from the ServiceM8 pricing page on November 5, 2026:
Starter $ 29 /mo Unlimited Users 50 Jobs per month
ServiceM8 prices by workload rather than headcount. The free plan covers one user and 30 new jobs a month. Starter costs $29 a month with unlimited users and 50 jobs, Growing $79 for 150 jobs, Premium $149 for 500 and Premium Plus $349 for 1,500 or more. Each paid tier carries the same core feature list, so the choice is mostly about volume. That list is broad for the price: scheduling with push notifications, quotes and invoices clients open online, card payments in the app, online bookings with instant pricing, checklists, before and after photos, recurring jobs, asset tracking, digital forms and certificates, job costing and accounting sync. Customer messaging includes on the way texts with an arrival estimate, a live arrival tracker and booking reminders. The model suits a crew of five doing two jobs a day, which fits inside a low tier with every tech logged in. A high-volume pest control or cleaning route business would outgrow the job caps and should compare per-route pricing elsewhere.
What works
- +Free plan for one user and 30 jobs a month
- +Paid plans include unlimited users, so adding staff costs nothing
- +24/7 email and chat support on paid plans
What does not
- −Plans cap new jobs per month, so busy shops climb tiers quickly
- −The free plan is limited to one user and self-serve support
- −Office Agent Pro and the phone system cost extra
- Free plan
- 1 user, 30 jobs per month
- Paid plans
- Starter $29, Growing $79, Premium $149, Premium Plus $349 per month

Price
Basic $49 per month for the first route, month to month, with unlimited users; Pro $99; Growth $149
Quoted from the GorillaDesk pricing page on November 5, 2026:
Basic $ 49 / mo Paid Monthly (USD)
GorillaDesk charges per route, meaning per technician schedule, rather than per user, and every plan includes unlimited admin, office and crew logins. Basic costs $49 a month for the first route and includes invoices, estimates and work orders, flexible invoice frequencies, job mapping, route ordering for up to 25 stops, Square and Stripe payments, broadcast messages, triggered automations, automated confirmations and reminders, and 20 built-in reports. Material tracking keeps chemical use records, which matters for pest control and lawn treatment firms. Pro, at $99, adds a customer portal, online booking, subscription billing, Drive Matrix routing with real drive times, review requests, e-signatures, device barcoding, commission tracking, QuickBooks Online sync, GPS tracking and time clocking. Growth, at $149, adds map measuring, drive time display, best available time suggestions and a sales pipeline. Plans run month to month with no setup fee. The focus on recurring routes makes it a weaker fit for emergency repair trades.
What works
- +Priced per route, with unlimited admin, office and crew users
- +No setup fees, no contracts and free data migration
- +Chemical use records suit pest and lawn treatment work
What does not
- −Each extra route adds $30 to $100 per month depending on plan
- −Online booking and the customer portal need the $99 Pro plan
- −Built for recurring routes rather than one-off repair calls
- Pricing unit
- Per route, unlimited users

- Contract
- Month to month, no setup fees

Workiz is built around the phone. Every plan includes an integrated business line with call insights, smart messaging, ad tracking, two-way texting, call flows and call masking, and the Genius Answering AI picks up calls and inbox messages in English, Spanish and French with live transfer to your team. The job side covers a drag-and-drop schedule, dispatch, fleet and team location tracking, a price book, a client portal, online booking with optional checkout and QuickBooks Online sync. Workiz Pay handles online payments, estimate deposits, consumer financing and tap to pay. Plans are Standard, Pro and Ultimate. Pro adds multi-location management, roles and permissions, Genius Scheduling and custom reports, while Ultimate reserves the deeper operations tools: flat-rate pricing, multi-day jobs, sales proposals, checklists, service plans, inventory, purchase orders, equipment tracking and an open API. The pricing page did not show USD figures from our location, so we list the price as pending.

ServiceTitan is the heavyweight in this group. Its three packages, Starter, Essentials and The Works, all include dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing, a price book, mobile estimates, payroll management, advanced reporting, commission tracking and customizable memberships, with The Works adding configurable payroll. The dispatch board supports drag-and-drop scheduling, schedule optimization, route planning, two-click calls and mass texts to technicians, automated customer job confirmations by text, adjustable capacity planning to avoid overbooking and multi-day jobs with several technicians. Optional Pro products add an AI virtual agent, marketing, a contact center, fleet tracking and pricing tools. Pricing is per technician and only available by quote, so we could not verify a starting price. For a 3-person shop this is more system than needed and likely more cost; for a 30-technician HVAC company with a call center and a membership base, it covers ground that the lighter tools here do not.
What works
- +The deepest feature set in this list, from call booking to accounting
- +Capacity planning and multi-day job scheduling suit larger teams
- +Separate Pro add-ons for marketing, contact center, fleet and pricing
What does not
- −No published prices; every package is quote-only

Quoted from the Kickserv pricing page on November 5, 2026:
Start 5 users $ 60 /mo Save 20% with annual subscription.
Kickserv keeps things simple and prices by team size. Start costs $60 a month on annual billing, or $75 month to month, and includes five users, an embeddable contact form, automated email and text reminders, over 20 business reports, time and expense tracking and QuickBooks Online integration. Run, at $119 for 10 users, adds dispatch mapping, GPS check-ins, custom fields, custom reports and QuickBooks Desktop integration for an extra $50 a month. Scale, at $199 for 20 users, adds custom templates and reviews. A Kickback program takes 5% off the subscription if you process a monthly minimum in online payments, starting at $1,000 a month on Start. Every plan has a 30-day free trial, the longest in this list. Compared with the leaders, Kickserv has fewer marketing and AI features and its site gives less detail on payments and the mobile app, so test those during the trial.
What works
- +5 users included on the entry plan
- +30-day free trial on every plan
- +Kickback discount of 5% for meeting a monthly online payment minimum

Lite $47 per user per month; Pro $51; Plus $61; Custom by request
Quoted from the Tradify pricing page on November 5, 2026:
Lite For contractors who want the basics. $47 USD per user/month.
Tradify suits trades that run quoted jobs over days rather than many short visits. Lite costs $47 per user per month and covers job management, scheduling with Google Calendar sync, quotes and invoices with markups, online and card payments, email tracking and Xero or QuickBooks Online sync. Pro, at $51 per user, is where most firms will land: it adds custom branding, an inquiry form and inbox, a full communication history, job photos and files, recurring jobs, job templates, appointment reminders, quote options with online acceptance, progress invoicing for deposits and retentions, quote and invoice reminders, cost and bill tracking, timesheets and subcontractor scheduling. Plus, at $61, adds reporting and AI bill reading. The free trial unlocks every feature for 14 days. The per-user model makes Tradify more expensive than flat-fee tools once a team passes three or four people, and it has fewer customer-facing extras such as online booking than Jobber or Housecall Pro.

FieldEdge targets established multi-truck contractors in HVAC, plumbing and electrical work. Its Select plan covers dispatching, booking and scheduling, basic agreements and quotes, customer management and a price book with flat-rate pricing. Premier adds advanced dispatching, multi-option quotes, advanced service agreements, saved reports and extra mobile app licenses. Elite adds unlimited saved reports, outbound call recording, Proposal Pro, MarketingEdge with two-way texting, warehouse inventory management and a consumer management portal. Across the platform, the office gets a single dispatch board and automated QuickBooks syncing, while technicians see full customer history in the mobile app, present good, better, best options and take payments on site with card readers. Prices are only given after a demo, so we could not confirm a starting figure. FieldEdge is close to ServiceTitan in focus but narrower in scope, and it is a stronger fit for QuickBooks-based shops than for solo operators.

Starter $208 per month billed annually ($245 month to month) with unlimited users; Plus $325; Pro $533
Quoted from the Service Fusion pricing page on November 5, 2026:
Starter $208 Per Month (billed annually) Unlimited Users
Service Fusion flips the usual pricing model: every plan includes unlimited users, so a company with 20 technicians and a full office pays the same as a two-person shop. Starter costs $208 a month on annual billing, or $245 month to month, and covers customer management, estimates and jobs, scheduling and dispatching, integrated payments, QuickBooks integration, invoicing, project management, reporting and text alerts. Plus, at $325, adds estimate options, job photo uploads, inventory management, job costing and integrated voice and text. Pro, at $533, adds custom documents, e-signatures, a customer web portal, progressive and recurring invoicing and an open API. GPS fleet tracking and the ServiceCall.ai add-on are extra on every plan. All plans are month to month with personalized onboarding and unlimited support by email, phone or chat. For a solo operator the entry price is steep, but once a team passes about eight users it compares well with per-user tools.
What works
- +Unlimited users on every plan, with the same price for 1 or 20 technicians
- +No contract, with onboarding and unlimited support included
- +Inventory and job costing included from the Plus plan
What does not
- −Highest published entry price in this list at $208 per month
- −Job photos, inventory and job costing are add-ons on Starter
- −No free trial listed; demo first
- Starting price
- $208 per month, billed annually

Before you choose
Price it at your real team size
A $29 plan can cost several times that once you add technicians. Jobber and Housecall Pro include a fixed number of users per plan, Tradify charges per user, ServiceM8 and Service Fusion include unlimited users, and GorillaDesk charges per route. Work out the monthly cost for your current crew and for the crew you expect in a year.
Check the quote to payment flow
The core job of these tools is turning a request into a quote, a scheduled visit and a paid invoice. Confirm that the plan you are pricing includes online quote approval, card payment in the field and automatic payment reminders. Some vendors hold reminders or deposits for a higher tier.
Look at dispatch and routing depth
Solo operators need a calendar. Teams with several vans need a dispatch board, GPS location of technicians and route ordering. Housecall Pro adds GPS tracking on Essentials, Kickserv adds dispatch mapping on Run, and GorillaDesk includes basic routing on every plan.
Match maintenance and agreement tools to your trade
HVAC and plumbing firms often earn steady revenue from service agreements. Housecall Pro puts recurring service plans on Max, Workiz on Ultimate, and FieldEdge and ServiceTitan build agreements into their core plans. Route businesses should look for recurring jobs and flexible invoice frequencies instead.
Confirm accounting sync before you switch
Most tools here sync with QuickBooks Online, and Tradify also syncs with Xero. QuickBooks Desktop support is less common and sometimes costs extra, as with Kickserv. Test the sync with a few real invoices during the trial.
