In a 2025 TalentLMS and BambooHR survey, 73% of employees were satisfied with onboarding, yet 39% had second thoughts about the new job during it and 52% said it focused too much on admin. US employers made 63.0 million hires in 2025, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Gallup estimates replacing a frontline employee costs about 40% of salary and a manager about 200%.
