10 Best Marketing Automation Software of 2026
By the KeenVerdict research desk · Updated November 6, 2026 · Next review December 21, 2026 · 10 products scored
Our verdict
Choose HubSpot Marketing Hub if you want scores, nurture emails and attribution on the same records your sales team uses, and budget for Professional. ActiveCampaign is the value pick for small teams that need strong automation, and Brevo is the cheapest way to start, though its contact scoring waits for the Professional plan. Zoho Marketing Automation is the sensible choice for Zoho CRM users, and Ortto suits SaaS teams on Salesforce. Large B2B teams with marketing operations staff should compare Salesforce Account Engagement and Adobe Marketo Engage, both priced for enterprise budgets.
The short answer
HubSpot Marketing Hub is the best marketing automation software for teams that want lead scoring and campaign reporting on their CRM records in 2026; ActiveCampaign suits small teams that want multi-step nurture automation from $15 per month billed yearly; Brevo is the cheapest paid option at $9 per month, and it also has a free plan.
This list is for marketing managers and operations leads who need three things working together: lead scoring, nurture sequences and campaign reporting that ties back to a CRM. We compared documented features and published prices for 10 tools and scored each on features, ease of use and value. Prices are the cheapest paid plan in US dollars as shown on the vendor's own page when we checked it. Where a vendor showed us no USD price, or publishes none, the price is marked as pending.

Price
From $15 per month billed yearly for 1,000 contacts (Starter); Plus $49, Pro $79, Enterprise $145
Quoted from the ActiveCampaign pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Starts at $15 / Month Billed yearly for 1,000 contacts
ActiveCampaign is the value pick for teams that want serious automation without HubSpot's seat pricing. Starter costs $15 per month billed yearly for 1,000 contacts and already includes multi-step marketing automation, AI-powered automation and campaign builders and more than 250 email templates. The plans that matter for this list sit higher up. Plus at $49 adds cross-channel marketing, landing pages and access to the Enhanced CRM add-on with pipelines and sales engagement. Pro at $79 adds attribution and conversion tracking, predictive sending and conditional content, with three user seats. Enterprise at $145 adds custom objects and premium CRM integrations like Salesforce. That structure means a team running Salesforce or wanting proper campaign attribution will pay well above the headline price. For a small team using ActiveCampaign as both its automation tool and its light CRM, the cost stays reasonable as the list grows.
What works
- +Every plan includes multi-step automation
- +Entry price is low for a 1,000 contact list
- +A 14-day free trial needs no credit card
What does not
- −No permanent free plan
- −Attribution tracking starts on Pro at $79 per month
- −Pipelines need the Enhanced CRM add-on, and premium CRM integrations like Salesforce are Enterprise only
- Starter
- 1,000 contacts, 10,000 email sends per month, 1 user
- Pro
- 3 user seats, 12,000 email sends per month
- Guarantee
- Refund if not satisfied after 30 days

Free plan; Starter from $20 per seat per month ($10 for new customers for a limited time), Professional from $100 per seat per month
Quoted from the HubSpot Marketing Hub pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Starter Starts at $10 $20/month per seat*
HubSpot Marketing Hub is the strongest fit for the brief of this list because the CRM is not an integration, it is the same database. Lead scores can be built on fit, engagement or both, inactive leads lose points through score decay, and the score appears on the contact record a sales rep opens. HubSpot also offers AI-assisted engagement scoring that studies leads that converted and suggests scoring rules. Nurture work runs through AI-powered emails and a Nurture Agent that rewrites each email for the contact receiving it. Reporting covers dashboards, multi-touch attribution and customer path analytics. The catch is cost at scale. Starter lists at $20 per seat per month, with a limited-time $10 price for new customers, while Professional starts at $100 per seat and Enterprise at $175. Budget for the tier your scoring and reporting needs actually require before you commit.
What works
- +Marketing and sales share one CRM database, so scores and campaign history sit on each contact
- +A free plan and a cheap Starter tier make it easy to begin
- +Attribution and customer path analytics are built in on higher tiers
What does not
- −Professional starts at $100 per seat per month and Enterprise at $175 per seat
- −The $10 Starter price is a limited-time offer for new customers
- −Costs rise quickly as you add seats and other hubs
- Free plan
- Yes, $0 per month with no credit card
- Paid tiers
- Starter, Professional, Enterprise
- Free trial
- 14 days of the marketing tools

Free plan; Starter from $9 per month, Standard from $18 per month, Professional from $499 per month
Quoted from the Brevo pricing page on November 6, 2026:
The Starter plan is available starting from $9 per month for the first tier.
Brevo is the cheapest serious route into marketing automation on this list. The Free plan stores up to 100,000 contacts, sends 300 emails a day and includes multi-channel automation for up to 2,000 contacts, plus free sales features. Starter begins at $9 per month, and Standard, from $18 per month, is the plan most teams on this list will want: automation for unlimited contacts, A/B testing, AI send time optimization and advanced reports. The gap is lead scoring. Contact scoring, AI segmentation and the analytics studio with dashboards sit on Professional, which starts at $499 per month, a large jump from Standard. Brevo's own CRM comes through sales packages that are add-ons on paid plans. For a small team that needs nurture sequences and campaign reports now and scoring later, Brevo is hard to beat on price.
What works
- +Free plan stores up to 100,000 contacts
- +Standard adds unlimited-contact automation from $18 per month
- +Email, SMS, WhatsApp and push in one account
What does not
- −Contact scoring only arrives on Professional at $499 per month
- −Free plan sends are capped at 300 emails a day
- −Many features, including the logo removal on Starter, are paid add-ons
- Free plan
- 300 emails per day, up to 100,000 contacts
- Paid tiers
- Starter, Standard, Professional, Enterprise
- Professional
- 10 marketing seats included

Zoho Marketing Automation is the natural choice for a company that already runs Zoho CRM, and it holds up well on its own merits. Standard covers basic workflows, signup forms, website behavior tracking and SMS, social and WhatsApp marketing, with 10 users and unlimited emails. Professional is where this list's angle is met: complete contact management with scoring, tags and life cycle stages, an advanced workflow builder with reports, contact path tracing, landing pages and email A/B testing, for 15 users. Enterprise adds lead attribution, X-RAY tracing in workflows and webhooks for 25 users. Every plan includes 1,000,000 non-marketing contacts, which helps teams that store many CRM records they do not email. The editor and reports feel less polished than HubSpot's, and attribution waits for the top plan. We could not confirm a USD price from our location, so check the pricing page for your contact count.
What works
- +Unlimited emails on all plans
- +Scoring is included from Professional, not reserved for the top tier
- +14-day free trial with no credit card
What does not
- −No permanent free plan
- −Lead attribution is limited to Enterprise
- −The pricing page showed no USD figure when we checked from our location
- Users

OrttoA customer data platform with a workflow builder, lead scoring and analytics, formerly known as Autopilot.
8.0of 10Best for SaaS teams on Salesforce that want custom lead scores and automated lead assignment.
- Features
- 8.3
- Ease of use
- 8.2
- Value
- 7.4
Ortto is the most interesting option on this list for SaaS teams that already run Salesforce. Its scoring tools let you build custom scores from demographic, firmographic and behavioral data, including product-qualified lead scores built from signups, trials and in-app actions. Scores degrade automatically over a half-life period, so old activity stops inflating a lead's rating. Scores can start workflows, assign leads or create audiences, and the Salesforce integration syncs actions, objects and activities both ways, with round-robin lead assignment and Slack or email notifications when a lead is assigned. Channels include email, SMS, push, in-app messages and live chat. The weak point for buyers is price transparency: Ortto's pricing page was not available when we checked, so you will need a quote. Teams outside SaaS may find its product-usage focus less useful than a general marketing suite.
What works
- +Scores can start workflows, assign leads or build audiences
- +Product-qualified lead scoring suits SaaS trials
- +Selective or full sync with Salesforce records
What does not
- −No public price list when we checked
- −Leans toward SaaS and product-led businesses
- −Fewer native CRM options than HubSpot or Zoho
- Formerly
- Autopilot
- CRM integrations
- Salesforce, plus Shopify for ecommerce
- Scoring
- Lead and product scores with half-life decay

KlaviyoA B2C marketing platform for email, SMS and mobile messaging built on its own customer profiles and data.

Price
Free plan for up to 250 active profiles; paid email plans from $20 per month
Quoted from the Klaviyo pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Klaviyo’s paid email plans start at $20/month.
Klaviyo earns its place for B2C brands, though it answers a different question than the B2B tools above it. Its data model is the customer profile, fed by store and app activity, and its reports focus on revenue: built-in dashboards, campaign performance metrics and revenue attribution for campaigns. Flows handle nurture work such as abandoned cart and post-purchase messages, and Composer, Klaviyo's AI layer, can analyze performance, schedule recurring tasks and create campaigns and flows. A helpdesk shares the same profile between service and marketing. The free plan covers 250 active profiles and 500 email sends a month, and paid email plans start at $20 per month. What Klaviyo lacks for this list is the classic B2B kit: lead scoring tied to a sales CRM and handoff to reps. Pick it if your buyers check out online, not if they book demos.
What works
- +Free plan you can keep while under 250 active profiles and 500 sends a month
- +Revenue reporting suits ecommerce teams
- +Helpdesk and marketing share one customer profile
What does not
- −Built for B2C brands rather than B2B lead scoring and sales handoff
- −Free plan support is email only for the first 60 days
- −Price rises with active profiles
- Free plan
- 250 active profiles, 500 email sends per month
- Mobile messages on free plan
- $5 per month of credit
- Paid email plans
- From $20 per month

From $1,250 per org per month billed annually (Growth+); Plus+ $2,750, Advanced+ $4,400, Premium+ $15,000
Quoted from the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Growth+ Fuel growth with marketing automation. $ 1,250 USD/Org/Month (Billed annually)
Account Engagement is the obvious pick for B2B companies whose sales team already lives in Salesforce. Every edition includes Marketing Cloud Next, and the entry Growth+ edition covers lead nurturing and scoring with Agentforce campaign creation. Plus+ adds AI-powered scoring, account-based marketing and B2B Marketing Analytics. Advanced+ adds business units and a dedicated IP address, and Premium+ includes all capabilities with Premier Success support. The price is the barrier. Growth+ costs $1,250 per org per month billed annually, Plus+ $2,750, Advanced+ $4,400 and Premium+ $15,000, and every monthly product requires an annual contract. Ease of use scores low because getting value usually takes a Salesforce admin or partner to set up fields, scoring rules and sync. For a company already paying for Sales Cloud and wanting marketing data on the same objects, those costs are easier to justify.
What works
- +Built to work with Salesforce CRM data
- +Scoring and nurturing from the entry edition
- +Account-based marketing and analytics on Plus+
What does not
- −Entry edition costs $1,250 per org per month
- −All monthly products require an annual contract
- −Setup usually needs a Salesforce admin
- Editions

- Contract
- Annual contract required

Marketo Engage has the most complete feature set on this list, and the steepest climb to use it. Every package, from Growth to Ultimate, includes a lead and account database, native CRM integration with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and Veeva, campaign automation, intelligent cross-channel nurturing, and scoring, routing and alerts. Higher packages add attribution and ROI dashboards, predictive content, target account management and predictive audiences, and Ultimate includes Marketo Measure for premium attribution and advanced analytics of customer paths. Adobe publishes no prices; every package says Get pricing, so you will be negotiating a contract. Growth allows 10 users and 20,000 API calls a day, higher packages 25 users and 50,000 calls. Marketo rewards teams with dedicated marketing operations staff who will build scoring models and attribution properly. For smaller teams the setup effort and quote-only pricing are hard to justify.
What works
- +The deepest scoring and attribution set on this list
- +Native integration with major enterprise CRMs
- +Packages from Growth to Ultimate allow room to grow
What does not
- −No published prices; every package is quote only
- −Needs trained marketing operations staff
- −Users are capped at 10 on Growth and 25 on higher packages

MailchimpA widely used email marketing platform with automations, popup forms and audience reporting.
7.5of 10Best for Small businesses moving from newsletters to their first automated sequences.
- Features
- 6.8
- Ease of use
- 8.6
- Value
- 7.4
Mailchimp is the easiest tool here for a small business that has outgrown one-off newsletters, but it is the weakest fit for this list's angle. The Standard plan, which Mailchimp offers on a 14-day trial, adds enhanced automations, generative AI features, custom-coded templates, customizable popup forms and insights into audience growth and conversion funnels. Free and Essentials plans sit below it and Premium above. What it does not offer is the B2B kit: CRM-linked lead scoring, sales handoff and pipeline reporting that HubSpot, ActiveCampaign and Zoho provide. Pricing is set by contact count, overages apply when contact or send limits are exceeded, and the page we fetched showed promotional figures that we could not tie to a single clean USD quote, so we left the price pending. Pick Mailchimp for simple, reliable nurture emails, not for scoring leads for a sales team.
What works
- +Easy to learn for teams new to automation
- +Free plan to start
- +14-day trial of the Standard plan
What does not
- −No CRM-style lead scoring for sales handoff
- −Overages apply if contact or send limits are exceeded
- −Sending pauses on some plans when limits are exceeded
- Plans
- Free, Essentials, Standard, Premium
- Standard trial
- 14 days
- Discount
- 15% off for 10,000+ contacts for 12 months

Price
From $100 per month billed monthly (Essentials, 5,000 profiles); Premium from $1,000 per month billed yearly
Quoted from the Customer.io pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Essentials starts at $ 100 per month / billed monthly
Customer.io is built for lifecycle and product marketers rather than B2B lead management, which is why it sits last on this list despite a capable feature set. Essentials starts at $100 per month billed monthly for 5,000 profiles and includes 1 million emails a month, a visual workflow builder, cross-channel campaign automation, send-time optimization, API-triggered broadcasts and custom objects with two object types. Push, in-app messages, WhatsApp and webhooks are included, and an AI Agent handles core tasks. Premium starts at $1,000 per month billed yearly and adds custom volumes, 10 object types and HIPAA compliance. The trade-off is that you get the most out of Customer.io only when developers send it event data, and it has no sales CRM or classic lead scoring for handing leads to reps. Startups that raised under $10M can apply for 12 months free.
What works
- +1 million emails per month on Essentials
- +Event-driven workflows suit product data
- +Startup program offers 12 months free for companies that raised under $10M
What does not
- −Entry price is $100 per month with no free plan
- −No built-in sales CRM or classic lead scoring
- −Getting value needs event data from your developers
- Essentials
- 5,000 profiles, 1 million emails per month
- Premium
- From $1,000 per month billed yearly
- Customers
- 11,000+ brands, per Customer.io
Before you choose
Start from your CRM
Lead scoring is only useful if sales sees the score. If you run Salesforce, compare Account Engagement, Marketo and Ortto, which sync with Salesforce objects. If you have no CRM yet, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign's Enhanced CRM add-on, Brevo's sales features or Zoho give you one alongside the automation.
Find the tier that includes scoring
Scoring is often not in the entry plan. Brevo puts contact scoring on Professional at $499 per month, Zoho includes it from Professional, and Salesforce includes lead scoring from its $1,250 Growth+ edition. Price the plan that has the scoring and attribution you need, not the headline price.
Check how reporting connects to revenue
Campaign reports that stop at opens and clicks will not tell you what drove pipeline. Look for attribution: HubSpot offers multi-touch attribution, ActiveCampaign includes attribution and conversion tracking on Pro, Zoho adds lead attribution on Enterprise and Klaviyo reports revenue by campaign.
Count contacts and seats
Most tools price by contact count, and HubSpot also prices by seat. Estimate your list size and the number of marketers who need access a year from now, then compare the cost at that size. Annual billing usually lowers the monthly price but commits you for a year.
Questions readers ask
- What is the best marketing automation software for lead scoring?
- HubSpot Marketing Hub, because scores are built on fit and engagement and shown on CRM contact records, with score decay for inactive leads. Adobe Marketo Engage and Salesforce Account Engagement offer deeper scoring for large B2B teams, at enterprise prices.
- How much does marketing automation software cost?
- Verified entry prices on this list run from $9 per month for Brevo Starter to $1,250 per org per month for Salesforce Account Engagement Growth+ billed annually. ActiveCampaign starts at $15 per month billed yearly for 1,000 contacts, and HubSpot Starter lists at $20 per seat per month.
- Is there free marketing automation software?
- Yes. Brevo's Free plan includes multi-channel automation for up to 2,000 contacts, HubSpot Marketing Hub has a free plan, and Klaviyo is free for up to 250 active profiles and 500 email sends a month. Free plans cap sends or contacts, so most teams upgrade once campaigns grow.
- Which tool works best with Salesforce?
- Salesforce Account Engagement, since it is Salesforce's own product and includes lead nurturing and scoring from Growth+. Ortto and Adobe Marketo Engage also sync with Salesforce, and ActiveCampaign offers premium CRM integrations like Salesforce on its Enterprise plan.
- Why are some prices marked as pending?
- We only publish a price when the vendor's page shows it in US dollars when we check it. Zoho showed no USD figure from our location, Mailchimp showed promotional figures we could not quote cleanly, and Ortto and Adobe Marketo Engage publish no price list.
