Square Appointments is the booking side of Square's payments and point of sale system. Square Free has no monthly subscription and includes an online booking site, appointment reminders and unlimited staff calendars, so a small studio can start without paying anything except processing fees. Plus costs $49 per month per location and adds cancellation policies with no-show fees, multi-staff appointments, a waitlist and 500 text messages a month. Premium at $149 per location is aimed at larger salons with more complex staff management. Businesses processing over $250,000 a year can ask about custom pricing. Plus and Premium include a 30-day free trial. For consultants and sales teams who mostly book video calls, it is a poor fit, because the product is shaped around in-person services, locations and checkout rather than shareable meeting links and CRM routing.
