Duolingo is where most people start, and for good reason. Every course is free, lessons take a few minutes, and streaks, points and challenges make it oddly hard to skip a day. Lessons cover reading, writing, listening and speaking, and AI adjusts the difficulty to your level. Super removes ads, gives unlimited hearts so mistakes do not end a session, and adds personalized practice and mistakes review; a family plan covers up to six accounts. The limits are well known. Sentences can feel random, grammar is explained lightly, and learners who only use Duolingo often recognize a lot but struggle to speak. Treat it as a habit engine and vocabulary builder, then add structured lessons or a tutor. We could not confirm the USD price of Super from our location. As a free app it has no real rival.
